Forest Hill makes equity investments in growing, established and historically profitable middle market companies. We specialize in partnering with management teams to facilitate corporate spin-offs, family succession transactions, recapitalizations, buy-and-build strategies and management buyouts.

We invest in companies with the potential for significant future growth with exceptional management teams either in-place or brought in as part of the transaction. Transaction structures include leveraged buyouts, re-capitalizations, privatizations, expansion capital and industry consolidations or build-ups.

FHP’s goal is to realize superior rates of return through long-term capital gains. Transaction opportunities are handled promptly and in strict confidence. While we are generally the majority investor in our portfolio companies, we will purchase minority equity positions when co-investing with like-minded investment partners.

In all cases, the FHP team will work with business owners and management teams to design capital structures that accommodate the interests of all constituents. Management invests with us in every transaction and is strongly incented via an ownership stake in the company.
